university of the philippines ACLE talk: comics, art, society
the good people at UP sorsoguenos will be hosting a talk on thursday about "comics writing as an art form and reflection of contemporary philippine society", and they were looking for a speaker who really knows his stuff. since that person was unavailable, they asked me instead. i'll be joining 'kikomachine' cartoonist manix abrera and (i think) a few other artists on the panel. metro comic con '09
"a change of work is as good as rest" --dutch proverb "and a good time was had by all." --ronald reagan thanks to everyone who bought ang maskot and operasyon , and especially those who stopped by to chat. did i mention that there were cosplayers there? samurai spawn experienced some difficulty grasping the narrative flow of operasyon 's dialogue-sparse panels. buti pa si benjo, mababaw ang kaligayahan. now now logan, let bobby read the book too.
